In case of bad weather check the
Bike Club Hotline @ 281-293-2931

If you use webmail (Yahoo, gMail, Hotmail, etc.) to receive your cycling emails, please check to make sure Steve's email (Steve.E.Moskowitz@ConocoPhillips.com) is marked as "safe" in your junk mail filter. The weekly notes go out to more than 2000 riders, so these providers will block the email unless you notify them. If you don't know how to configure your email account, ask your IT department (or your 8 yr old) to do it for you.

Training Series Enrollment is Full!

First - the enrollment for the training series is now full.  In order to keep our group's size safe and manageable, we can't add any more riders to the training series list. Second - the fees for the training series go up every week that you delay in mailing them in. Of course, the increases are donated to the MS Society, so the longer you wait, the more money you raise towards the cause!

Smile! You're on Camera!

You may have noticed one of our riders snapping tons of pictures during the ride this week. Tim Hansford has put together an amazing collection of photos for us to view at Tim's Cycling Photography Page. Please make sure to thank him when you see him on the road and use his donation link to support his fundraising efforts.

If you missed the BP MS150 registration, there are 2 other Texas MS150 fundraising tours, and it would be a good idea to register for the BikeMS: Sam's Club Frisco to Fort Worth MS150 now before the May 2nd & 3rd tour starts to sell out.

Please carpool! Many of the communities that we ride in have limited parking. If you need help finding a carpool, click the carpool link on the left or ask your team captain for help.

There are also many volunteer opportunities available for the BP MS150 tour. Please visit the NMSS Lone Star Chapter's website for more information about any alternate MS150 activities if you or a friend missed the registration cut-off.

Ever wonder what your training fees fund?

To give you an idea of what your fee covers, here are the major items:

  • Fresh bananas each week (Oranges coming when it gets warm...)
  • Drinks
  • Porta-lets
  • Coolers
  • Misc supplies (knives, paper goods, cups, alum trays, etc.)
  • Law enforcement
  • Emergency crew (required at some later rides)
  • Community donations (varies by community)
